Avoiding Getting Scammed by Fake Paid Survey Sites

June 4th, 2009 by Greg Shuey | Filed in get paid for surveys

There are a lot of free paid survey sites available in the Internet. These serve as an easy way for you to earn money while in the comfort of your own homes. All you have to do is sign up. Upon membership, you will have access to tons of paid surveys by different companies all over the world.

Earning money through paid survey sites have become increasing popular among online dwellers. Members who sign up, called panelists, are always on the lookout for new paid survey sites to earn more. But be careful though, because you may become a victim of fake paid survey sites.

Dont be fooled.

Here are some things you might want to do before signing up:

Read everything first. Before you complete your registration, make sure that you have read every thing first. Study what the company is all about and how you can earn from them. Familiarize yourself with the system they use. Remember, knowledge is power.

Check out customer testimonials. By reading testimonials from previous and current members, you can be assured that the survey company is legitimate.

Find out if the site has a customer service hotline. If a survey company has links to their customer service hotline, you’ll know that it is legit. Why? For one thing, if a company has a customer service hotline, it should mean that it has more than enough members to tend to, and that it is dedicated to making sure that members are taken good care of.

Do not give out personal and financial information. Know that if a company or any organization bluntly asks for your personal or financial information through emails especially, there is a great chance that it is a hoax. For starters, what would survey companies need your credit card number or bank account for? If you receive confirmation emails that ask you for these types of information, think twice about continuing your registration.

Even though the Internet has brought up more convenient ways to earn cash such as free paid survey sites, you need to know that the online community is also swarming with fraudulent people who are out to prey on your vulnerability. Follow these steps; read them carefully and practice them when you are scouring the net for survey companies.
